Issues are more often than not created by the user themselves either by poking around in locations they're not supposed to, or simply through lack of knowledge.Īdmittedly, it's entirely likely that bugs creep in during the 'porting' process from one platform to another given the hundreds of thousands of lines of code that go to make up a modern browser, even the semi-autonomous 'buildbots' at the Chromium Project don't always catch every one of 'em.
I've also found out over the last few years - since migrating to the 'dark side' (lol!) - that Chrome, indeed ALL the Chromium-based browsers, seem to run far more 'rock-solid' & reliable under Linux. I take the view that, if it works, leave it the hell alone.! I wasn't even aware you COULD switch these off.but then, I don't often poke around under 'chrome://flags'. Interesting! I've used Chrome ever since the first 'beta' releases almost 13 years ago, and consider myself fairly 'au-fait' with what the browser will & won't do.
